Kannapolis, NC: Dr. John Whitley, Conservative Republican candidate for North Carolina’s 8th Congressional District condemned the Congressional Super Committee this morning for its failure to produce a plan to eliminate at least $1.2 trillion from our $15 triollion national debt.

“Our national debt is over $15 trillion and the Super Committee cannot even agree on $1.2 trillion in cuts over 10 years,” Dr. Whitley asked. “That is ridiculous, but it is not surprising. It’s what we get when we continue to elect Betlway insiders who are more concerned with self preservation than making that hard choices to restor our nation’s fiscal health. This failure shows that it is time t send new leadership to Washington; not the same old Insiders who continue to fail.”

“Our leaders in Washington dont have the desire, the ability, or the backbone to tackle the grave fiscal issues facing our nation today. They hiked the debt ceiling without cutting spending. They failed to pass a Balanced Budget Amendment. They watched out national debt hit $15 trillion without taking any action. Now, the Super Committee, who was supposed to be Congress’s beset and brightest on fiscal issues, has failed to produce any results. Unfortunately, it seems like failure has become par for the course in Congress.”

“If we want to change Congress and change the direction our nation is headed in, it’s time to change who we send to Congress. It’s time to start sending real Conservative outsiders to Congress who are driven by a desire to produce real results that will save the fiscal health of our nation. It’s time to stop electing career politicos who are afraid to act and who are only interested in filling their pockets and furthering their careers. I’m a doctor, not a politician. I want to go to Congress, do what is right for the people of the 8th District, get out Country back on the right track, come home, and continue practicing medicine.
